FAQs

To provide a customized quote for printing your book, we do require information on the five items listed below.

  1. 1. Page Count: The number of pages in a given title directly affects the amount of printing paper required, and therefore, the cost of printing. A larger page count results in a higher cost of printing.
  2. 2. Quantity: While offset printing of a large quantity of your book may be costly in general, it is more economical per unit than printing a smaller quantity. For example, the cost of printing 1,000 copies of a 150 - page book may be Ksh 120 per unit, while the same book may cost Ksh 600 per unit when printed as 100 copies.
  3. 3. Book Size: Different clients may have varying preferences for book size and type. A5 is the most common size, while A4 is popular for educational books. Other sizes, such as A6, B5, and A3, may also be available.
  4. 4. Color: The two most common types of books in terms of color are full color and black and white. It is evident that full color books are more expensive to print than black and white books.
  5. 5. Manuscript Condition: Manuscripts that are received in a raw format, meaning they have not undergone proofreading, editing, or layout, will require to go though our Preliminary Services Stage. This stage is separately priced and helps impart a professional appearance and feel to the book.
